Overview

This ten-day jewel of Africa safari will see you visiting Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo National Park. The Big Five will be seen in their native habitat boat safaris on the Nile River and Kazinga Channel inside Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )

Day 1: Pick Up from Entebbe and Drive to Murchison Falls Nationa Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

This day your driver-guide will take you up from either your accommodation or Entebbe International Airport. Starting from Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you will set off the five-hour trip to Murchison Falls National Park.

Following rhino tracking, you will next pass through the Masindi area of Murchison Falls National Park via the Chicumbanyobo gate. First you will view the most powerful waterfall on Earth from atop the falls. Water will be squeezing through a 7-meter crevice at the top of the falls before plunging 43 meters down to produce a thundering boom. You will get back in the car from the top of the falls and go to the resort for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Early Morning Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park.

This day you will start the morning game drive at 6:30 am and have breakfast at 6:00 am. Your guide will be able to pick you up at 6:30 am to go to the large open savannah grasslands in search of species include lions, giraffes, kobs, leopards, and birds among others. You return to the lodge for lunch after the morning wildlife drive. You will then go to the Victoria Nile for the 2:00 pm boat trip down to the falls.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park.

Breakfast at 7:00 am; then, pack your things, get on the car, and drive Bugungu gate to Kibale Forest National Park. You will pass via the great Bunyoro escarpments. This area has rather beautiful views of Lake Albert. Lunch will stop at Fort Portal City; then, you will go to the resort for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park.

Your guide will pick you up after morning meal and transport you to the Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a briefing on dos and don’ts of chimpanzee tracking. You will be separated into small groups at precisely 8:30 am and assigned a guide who will drive you to and from the jungle for chimpanzee tracking. You will do the afternoon Bigodi Swamp Walk following chimpanzee tracking.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You will pack your things, board the car, and travel via the Tooro crater lakes towards Queen Elizabeth National Park after morning meal. Three hours or so make up this journey. You eat lunch and check into the lodge. After midday rest, you will travel for the Kazinga canal boat ride at 2 pm.

Day 6: Morning and Evening Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After an early morning meal, you will go to the Kasenyi grasslands at 6:30 am and see among other species lions, buffalos, leopards, elephants, and waterbucks. You will travel via the Bunyapaka salt wells to witness salt mining after the morning wildlife drive. Then you will return to the lodge for afternoon leisure and lunch. You will return to the park at 4:00 pm for an evening game drive in such late grazers and late hunters.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

You’ll pack the luggage and get in the car after breakfast. You would travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will go via Kabale, Ntungamo, and Ishaka. You are stopping in Kabale town for lunch. Lunch will then be followed by supper and an overnight stay at Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Breakfast and six thirty am will be followed by a trip to the park headquarters for the briefing. Following briefing, you will be divided into eight small groups. To get you from and into the forest, you will be assigned a ranger guide. You will return to the resort to refresh after gorilla trekking. You then will go to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

You will enjoy a little boat tour on Lake Bunyonyi after morning meal. You will then go to Lake Mburo National Park in evening for a game drive. Lunch will be your halt in Mbarara. You would then go to the resort after lunch. You will check in and go for the 3:00 pm boat safari on Lake Mburo.

Day 10: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport.

You will embark for a little morning drive after breakfast early in morning. You will then travel from the Equator at Kayabwe to Entebbe for lunch and pictures. You will proceed to Entebbe International Airport to wrap off the trip after lunch.
