Overview

From Entebbe, the safari takes you on a joyful journey across western and southern Uganda, ending in Entebbe. The safari group goes west on the Great North Road. First stop: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, then Murchison Falls National Park for lions and leopards. Kibale has chimpanzees and birdwatching, Queen Elizabeth is beautiful, Bwindi has gorillas, Lake Bunyonyi, and Lake Mburo all thrilling. The safari concludes at Jinja.

Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )

Day 1: Arrival in Kampala.

You will be greeted by our Ngoni Safaris driver guide upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport. He will then take you to your accommodation in Kampala and help you get ready for the activities that will take place the next day in Murchison Falls National Park. The views of Lake Victoria will be available to you while you are here.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

Immediately after breakfast, you will embark on the journey that will take you to Murchison Falls National Park. Around the time of lunch, you will get there. After you have eaten your meal, it is time to go to the top of the falls and take in the breathtaking view. Standing there and taking in the scenery while listening to the sound of the river roaring is an incredible experience. You are going to spend a calm and enjoyable evening at the lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park.

To see the savanna’s wildlife, you will have to rise early. You can see giraffes, elephants, lions, and other animals on the game drive this morning. It’s time for a boat ride on the powerful Nile in the afternoon, where you may view birds along the banks, crocodiles, and hippos. To get a closer look at the rainforest, you will spend the night in Budongo Forest, which is a portion of Murchison Falls.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park and Experience Bigodi Swamp Walk.

A stop in a hamlet to stretch your legs, see a tea plantation, and take in the Ugandan countryside beyond your window will help you prepare for a long day in the automobile. Fort Portal Town, Uganda’s first cleanest town, is a good place to stop. You will then go to Kibale National Park and enjoy a late-afternoon Bigodi swamp hike.

Day 5: Chimp Trekking in Kibale National Park.

As you prepare for your chimp trekking adventure, the noises of the forest will awaken you. After being led to the starting site by your guide, you will go into the stunning forest to see the chimpanzees. Your guide will pick you up after the chimp hike and drive you to the Queen Elizabeth National Park lodge.

Day 6: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

For a wildlife drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Kasenyi area, you will have to get up early. Lions, elephants, buffaloes, a variety of birds, and more can all be seen here. Following lunch, you will embark on an afternoon boat ride on the Kazinga Channel with your guide.
For instance, you may search for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and warthogs along the channel’s beaches during this two-hour boat excursion, which is a fantastic highlight.

Day 7: Transfer to Ishasha Sector.

After a leisurely breakfast, you will go to Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha area, which is well-known for its resident tree-climbing lions. Though they may sometimes be difficult to identify, the likelihood of seeing these lions is over 70%, particularly when they are hunting in the grasslands. If you are lucky enough to see them, it is a beautiful and unforgettable sight.

Day 8: Tree-Climbing Lions in Ishasha and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

You will have breakfast and head for a morning game drive in Ishasha to find topis, and buffaloes and search for the tree-climbing lions. The lions in this area are famous for climbing up great fig trees to take a rest. After finishing your game drive the journey goes on to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will enjoy the changing landscape as the car slowly climbs up towards the misty mountains of the gorillas.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

You have finally arrived at the gorilla trekking day, which is the high point of your Discover Uganda trip. In the morning, your guide will transport you to the gorilla trekking starting site, where you will begin your journey. You get to spend an hour with the gorillas after the walk brings you through the bush to their location. Your guide will drive you to the breathtakingly gorgeous Lake Bunyonyi once you return from your gorilla hike.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mutanda Resort for Relaxation and Sightseeing.

After breakfast, you will go to Lake Mutanda Lake Resort, where you will spend the night. You will arrive to the lodge, which is situated in the shadow of the Virunga Mountains on a peninsula of Lake Mutanda, and eat lunch there. The resort provides the most breathtaking vistas on the world together with cozy lodging. You will take a boat ride on Lake Mutanda later in the day.

Day 11: Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for Relaxation.

After breakfast, Mgahinga National Park offers golden monkey tracking. After tracking, go to Kabale District’s Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by lush, green hills that reach 2,200–2,478m and 29 islands of varied forms and sizes that make it wonderful. You may spend all day admiring them. Your Lake Bunyonyi boat journey will be thrilling. You may tour a local hamlet, take a canoe trip, or swim in the Bilharzia free lake in the afternoon. Residents welcome your visit and are willing to talk about their life.

Day 12: Relax by Lake Bunyonyi.

Your day at Lake Bunyoyi is free. Rent a canoe to explore the islands, swim (the lake is hippos, crocodiles, and bilharzia-free), climb, or read a book. Here you may wander and visit locals for amusement.

Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

Following breakfast, your guide will take you to Lake Mburo National Park. Before you arrive at the town of Mbarara for lunch, a scene of undulating green hills will pass by the windows. After that, you will continue on to the lodge in Lake Mburo National Park, where you will have a pleasant rest.

Day 14: Safari Walk and Game Drive in Lake Mburo National Park.

A safari trek in Lake Mburo National Park will be your early morning activity. As you stroll and observe the nearby creatures, you will feel as if you are at one with the natural world. Before lunch, you will enjoy breakfast at the lodge and unwind for a while. It’s time for your game drive in the park, where you may view zebras and impalas, in the afternoon after lunch. On your Discover Uganda safari, you will return to the lodge to spend your last evening in Uganda’s national parks.

Day 15: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport.

It is possible that you will choose to go to the source of the Nile in the morning after breakfast, and then you will go to Entebbe Airport in order to catch your flight.
