At 6:30 am, you will enjoy an early breakfast. At 7:30 am, you will go to the park headquarters with a packed lunch to join other trackers for a briefing on the guidelines for gorilla trekking. To locate the gorillas, you and your guides will go through dense vegetation and creepers, which might take one to eight hours. You will be taken to Kibale Forest National Park for lunch at the Fort Portal neighborhood close to the park after an early breakfast. Along the trip through Fort Portal, you may make stops in the remote countryside where you can see tea plantations.
The stunning volcanic scenery you are exposed to on your trip from the town to the park is framed by the fabled Rwenzori Mountains, which cast a shadow over Fort Portal.
