Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )
Day 1: Start from Airport (before 10am) or be picked from a Hotel, transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.
Arriving guests will be picked up from the hotel or airport. The allocated Professional English-speaking Tour Driver-guide will pick you up and take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most popular tourist sites.
Featuring 10 monkey species (including chimpanzees), over 600 bird species, and typical large games, the park has different ecosystems. After lunch, you’ll enter the stunning Queen Elizabeth NP in the late afternoon or evening and unwind in your accommodations. With enough time, we can go on a late afternoon-to-evening game drive.
Accommodation: Irungu Forest Safari Lodge
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel.
Rise and have breakfast. On a morning wildlife drive in the Kasenyi plains, watch for Cape buffalos, elephant herds, lions, leopards (though hard to locate), and others. Rest and have lunch at the hotel. After lunch, you’ll take a 2-hour Kazinga Channel boat ride between Lakes George and Edward.
Giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles will amaze you during the journey. You’ll witness several bird species beside the water. After the boat ride, you may relax at the resort or go for a late afternoon wildlife drive.
Accommodation: Irungu Forest Safari Lodge
Day 3: Relaxed breakfast, drive to Ishasha sector and then connect to Bwindi NP.
After a leisurely breakfast, visit Queen Elizabeth NP’s Ishasha region, noted for its tree-climbing lions. Spotting these lions is 60-70%, however they may be hard to notice, particularly when they are in the grassland hunting.
See them in the tree for a wonderful sight. Continue to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park boundary from Ishasha. After a long day, you’ll simply check in and rest before Bwindi gorilla trekking tomorrow. Before heading to Ishasha, try chimp tracking (Kyambura Gorge) for $100. Please remember that chimp tracking permits must be obtained before the date.
Accommodation: Ride 4 a Woman Guesthouse
Day 4: Gorilla trekking Bwindi Forest, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.
Breakfast and then the rangers’ post. Trekking rules will be explained. Adventure awaits in the Bwindi Forest. This rain forest is gorgeous! The densely wooded region is crisscrossed with animal routes for visitors.
These enormous primates move differently, affecting time and terrain. You have one hour with a gorilla group after finding them. Our experience with these friendly yet endangered giants is memorable. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by beautiful, green-terraced hills that reach 2,200–2,478m, but its 29 islands of diverse forms and sizes make it enchanting. You may spend all day admiring them.
Accommodation: Itambira Island
Day 5: Depart Bunyonyi and return to Entebbe Airport to catch flight back home.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel with a stunning view of the Bunyonyi islands, then return to Entebbe Airport.
