Overview

Transfer to Lake Mburo NP from Entebbe. Continue walking safari to Queen Elizabeth NP. Wildlife safari, Kazinga Channel boat ride. Connect to Bwindi via Ishasha sector, noted for tree-climbing lions. After the gorilla adventure, unwind at Lake Bunyonyi. Return to Entebbe for your flight or be dropped off at your hotel on Day 6.

Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )

Day 1: Start from Entebbe (before 2pm) or be picked from a Hotel, transfer to Lake Mburo NP.

Pickup will be from the hotel or Entebbe Airport upon arrival. Your professional English-speaking tour driver-guide will pick you up and drive you to Lake Mburo National Park. Mburo, a little treasure along the Entebbe/Kampala route to western Uganda’s parks, is handy.
The smallest savannah National Park in Uganda is home to 350 bird species, giraffes, zebras, impalas, eland, buffalo, Defassa waterbuck, hippo, and the rare leopard. We’ll check in and then go for a late afternoon-to-evening game drive if time allows. Otherwise, we’ll check in and relax all evening.

Day 2: Morning walking safari (Mburo), transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP, game drive/safari.

After breakfast, we’ll go on a Mburo morning park (bush) walk with an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. This morning guided walk will let you to see Zebras, Giraffes, Eland, Topi, antelope, and Cape buffaloes up close.
View Lake Mburo and beyond from the Trail atop the hills. Check out of the hotel and travel to Queen Elizabeth NP. In time for lunch, a brief break, and a game drive, we should arrive in Queen. Alternative: afternoon chimp tracking in adjacent Kalinzu Forest (130$ pp.).

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel.

Rise and have breakfast. On a morning wildlife drive in the Kasenyi plains, watch for Cape buffalos, elephant herds, lions, leopards (though hard to locate), and others. Rest and have lunch at the hotel. After lunch, you’ll take a 2-hour Kazinga Channel boat ride between Lakes George and Edward.
Giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles will amaze you during the journey. You’ll witness several bird species beside the water.After the boat ride, you may relax at the resort or go for a late afternoon wildlife drive.

Day 4: Relaxed breakfast, drive to Ishasha sector and then connect to Bwindi NP.

After a leisurely breakfast, visit Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha section, noted for its tree-climbing lions. Spotting these lions is 60-70%, however they may be hard to notice, particularly when they are in the grassland hunting.
See them in the tree for a wonderful sight. After Ishasha, you’ll stay near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After a long day, you’ll simply check in and rest before Bwindi gorilla trekking tomorrow. *Optional (USD 120): Join a predator study team member for experience lion tracking, which will take you to this adventure.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking Bwindi Forest and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

Breakfast and then the rangers’ post. Trekking rules will be explained. Adventure awaits in the Bwindi Forest. This rain forest is gorgeous! The densely wooded region is crisscrossed with animal routes for visitors.
These enormous primates move differently, affecting time and terrain. You have one hour with a gorilla group after finding them. Our experience with these friendly yet endangered giants is memorable. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi after trekking.
Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by beautiful, green-terraced hills that reach 2,200–2,478m, but its 29 islands of diverse forms and sizes make it enchanting. You may spend all day admiring them.

Day 6: Relaxed breakfast, return to Entebbe and fly out (1800hr or later).

A leisurely breakfast with a stunning view of the Bunyonyi islands awaits you. You will then drive to Entebbe in the late afternoon/evening for your flight out (18:00hrs or later). Lunch at the Equator and picture opportunities are expected.
