7-Day Gorilla Trek and Kibale Chimp Habituation Safari
Overview
The most breathtaking tourist destinations in southern Uganda are visited on this 7-day safari. The gorilla trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the chimp habituation experience in Kibale National Park, and the wildlife drive at Queen Elizabeth National Park are the main highlights. The journey concludes in Kampala/Entebbe after beginning in Entebbe/Kampala.
Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )
Day 1: Pick Up in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After picking you up in Entebbe town or downtown Kampala, our representative will drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The route, which passes via the important cities of Masaka, Mbarara, and Kabale in western Uganda, would take around eight to nine hours. Along the route, there are two planned stops.
The first is for a coffee break and artisan shopping at the Equator crossing close to Masaka. Lunch in Mbarara City will be the second destination. You will continue on to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after a brief layover in Mbarara City.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is where you will spend the night and have supper.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After breakfast, you will proceed straight to the entrance of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get an orientation on the gorilla hike. Expectations for the gorilla walk will be covered in the national park guide.
At the pre-trekking briefing, the gorilla trekking group will be assigned by the national guide. You will probably be joined by other guests. Depending on how deep into the forest the gorillas are, the gorilla journey may take several hours. You will spend the night and have supper at Karungi Camp.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trek at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Drive to Lake Bunyonyi.
The golden monkeys, an indigenous species of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in southwest Uganda, will be trekked during this trip. As you approach the forest, you will pass past bamboo and other native species, such as big lobelia.
During your excursion, your national park guide will explain you about the history of the park as well as the plants and animals that can be found there. It should take around five hours to complete the golden monkey trip. We will go to Lake Bunyonyi for supper and sleep after hiking for golden monkeys. It will take around three hours to go to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for Kazinga Channel Boat Trip.
At Lake Bunyonyi, you will begin the day with an early breakfast. Next, take a car to Queen Elizabeth Park in the north. You will take the Kazinga Channel boat trip for an afternoon of seeing wildlife when you arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the channel waters, you may see crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and a variety of birds. You will return to the lodge for supper and an overnight stay after the boat ride.

Day 5: Kasenyi Plains Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale National Park.
Game drives at Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Kasenyi Plains will begin the day in an effort to see a variety of wild animal species. The expansive savannahs of Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Albertine Rift are home to Kasenyi Plains.
Adventure awaits you this morning! Lions, buffalo herds, elephants, Uganda kobs, topis, and bushbucks are all possible encounters. Although seeing the Big Five in the park is not a given, you could see leopards if you’re fortunate. Drive three hours to Kibale National Park for supper and sleep after the game drive.

Day 6: Chimp Habituation Experience at Kibale and Bigodi Community Tour.
Immediately after breakfast, you will go to the Kibale Forest to see the chimpanzees’ habituation. You may come across different types of monkeys on the journey if you’re fortunate. These consist of red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, and colobus monkeys. Visitors may participate in a group of Uganda Wildlife Authority researchers and rangers who are acclimating chimpanzees to people via the chimpanzee habituation experience.
With a brief lunch break, tourists’ habituation experience in Kibale Forest National Park lasts the whole day. It takes at least two years to completely acclimate a troop of chimpanzees for tourism. You will go back to the resort after the monkey habituation hike. Following breakfast, you will take the well-known Fort Portal Crater Lakes drive to Kibale National Park. In the afternoon, you might embark on a community tour of Bigodi Village.

Day 7: Transfer from Kibale National Park to Kampala or Entebbe.
In order to go to Kampala, you will be transferred from Kibale National Park. It is predicted that the journey from Kibale National Park to Kampala will take between six and seven hours, depending on the amount of traffic that is present. The journey will come to an end at this point.
