8-Day Experience Gorillas, Chimps and Big 5 Game Drives Safari
Overview
This fantastic safari, which is designed to give you a sense of three of Uganda’s untamed parks, comes with free internet in our vehicle. This guarantees that you will encounter a variety of creatures, such as the chimpanzees, zebras, and antelope of Lake Mburo, as well as the opportunity to observe the Bwindi mountain gorillas. In addition, you will get the opportunity to spend a day relaxing by Lake Bunyonyi and see the tree-climbing lions of Queen Elizabeth National Park Ishasha Sector.
Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )
Day 1: Arrive and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park (Visit Top of the Falls) via Ziwa for Rhinos.
After landing at the airport, you will go to Murchison Falls National Park.
The roaring Murchison Rapids and the undulating grasslands of Uganda’s biggest national park, where you may see lions, giraffes, hartebeests, buffalos, and elephants, among the park’s attractions.
The profusion of Nile crocodiles and hippos here will undoubtedly captivate you. The secretive shoebill stork, dwarf king fisher, white-thigh hornbill, and Goliath heron are just a few of the 450 bird species that may be seen near Murchison Falls.
Before heading inside the park, you will make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to monitor rhinos. Before continuing on to Murchison Falls National Park, we will make another stop at Kabalega Dinners Restaurant, which is close to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, for a late lunch. Before going to our lodge, we will first visit the top of the falls to see the most powerful falls on the planet when we arrive at the park.
Accommodation: Fort Murchison (Room)
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Trip to the Base of the Falls.
Before a game drive in the park’s northern sector to see the “Big Five” (buffaloes, lions, elephants, and maybe leopards), have breakfast. You may also see Rothschild giraffes, bushbucks, warthogs, waterbucks, and antelopes. Return to your hotel for lunch and rest. A 3-hour boat ride to the fall base follows lunch. You may go close to the animals in the water on this Murchison Falls safari, making it the highlight. To reach the massive waterfalls, cruise past massive hippo pods, crocodiles, and aquatic birds on the north bank. Bring your camera—you can snap hundreds of photos.
Driving leisurely back to the resort after the boat ride includes wildlife drives.
Accommodation: Fort Murchison (Room)
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park.
After an early breakfast, you will make your way to Kibale Forest National Park. You will get the chance to visit tea and banana farms on route to Kibale National Park. Before continuing on to our accommodation, we will also make a brief stop at the tea plantation to take some pictures.
Accommodation: Kibale Forest Camp (Safari Tent)
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Today you will monitor Kibale National Park’s most renowned residents, chimpanzees. Chimpanzees are our closest surviving cousins with 98% human DNA. They live in 21 African nations but are most visible in Uganda because of its high population.
About 5,000 wild chimpanzees live in Uganda. Many well-maintained pathways are used for chimpanzee trekking.
Other primates are more diversified than in any other East African forest.
You may discover red Colobus, red-tailed guenon, white-nosed monkey, gray-checked mangabey, blue monkey, L’Hoest’s monkey, and black and white Colobus monkeys in addition to chimpanzees. You will then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a night game drive and, if time permits, an evening game drive.
Accommodation: Kikorongo Safari Lodge
Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel.
You’ll go to Queen Elizabeth National Park this morning for a game drive. Visit Queen Elizabeth National Park’s 200 kilometers of well-maintained game viewing paths.
With 5000 hippos, 2500 elephants, and over 10,000 buffalo in its grasslands and shorelines, this park guarantees sightings of Africa’s most iconic species, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, different species of antelope, predators like lions, leopards, civets, genals, and serval cats, black-and-white Colobus monkeys in the trees, and the boldest species—baboons.
After the morning wildlife drive, you’ll have lunch at the lodge and then take a Kazinga Channel boat trip.
Accommodation: Kikorongo Safari Lodge
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Ishasha Tree Climbing Lions.
Rise and have breakfast. After seeing tree-climbing lions, visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. An estimated 400 mountain gorillas—half of the world’s population—live in Bwindi, Uganda, including many habituated groups that may be followed. After a long day, you’ll merely check into your hotel and unwind before Bwindi gorilla trekking the next day.
Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Lodge
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Forest and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Your experience begins at the gorilla sanctuary after an early breakfast and a ranger briefing. This rain forest is gorgeous! Tourists may approach the densely wooded region by animal routes. These enormous primates move differently, affecting time and terrain.
Find a gorilla troop and spend an hour with them. Seeing these gentle, endangered giants is an unforgettable experience. Retire to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Next, travel to Lake Bunyonyi. After checking in, you’ll relax and enjoy supper and the night.
Accommodation: Heritage Lodge, Habuharo
Day 8: Transfer Back to Entebbe for Your Flight.
The Bunyonyi hills are in view while you have breakfast at the hotel. Return to Entebbe Airport. Lunch stops in Mbarara and the Uganda Equator line mark in Kayabwe provide fun picture opportunities and art sales. Continue to the airport for a late afternoon/evening drop-off.
