8-Day Gorilla Safari in Uganda and Rwanda
Overview
The purpose of this safari is to provide you with an experiential tour of Uganda’s national parks. It is certain that you will have the opportunity to see a variety of species, such as the mountain gorillas in Bwindi, the chimpanzees in Kibale, the giraffes and antelope herds in Murchison Falls National Park, as well as cultural and community contacts.

Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Your Hotel.
There will be a member of the Dav Safaris crew waiting for you when you arrive at Entebbe International Airport (EBB). They will provide you with an introduction and then drive you to your accommodation so that you can rest. Have supper as you totally unwind and refresh yourself from the lengthy jet lag, and get ready for the experience that will take place the following day.

Day 2:Travel to Murchison Falls National Park – Visit the Top of Murchison Enroute Ziwa Rhino sanctuary.
Our corporate representative will pick you up after breakfast and take you on an interesting road excursion to Murchison Falls National Park. To fully experience the African Big Five species, you will stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Uganda, where rhinos are being reintroduced to the wild. Murchison Falls National Park is lacking rhinos, one of the Big Five.
Lunch and a brief rest at the sanctuary will be followed by a thrilling road journey to Murchison Falls. After entering the park, you’ll be astonished by the scenery and perhaps see warthogs and other species on a drive to the falls’ summit.

Day 3: Game Drive through the Park and Boat Ride on the Victoria Nile.
After breakfast, our driving guide takes you for an early game drive. Explore the main game paths, particularly near Paraa, to see elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, jackals, hyenas, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeests, and maybe leopards.
Back at the lodge, have lunch and some downtime. The highlight of every Murchison Falls safari is the afternoon boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. You’ll see several creatures up close. Hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and other creatures come to drink, refresh, and cool down. Fresh riverbank grass is also eaten by animals.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
After breakfast, take your lunch to Kibale National Park. This picturesque journey takes 8 hours. Lake Albert will be nearby. Clear days provide a stunning vista from the Albert Rift. Fort Portal town is visited late in the evening for lodge leisure.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking Tour in Kibale Forest, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Transfer to the park headquarters for pre-trek briefing with ranger guides after early breakfast. You will next go into the forest to follow chimpanzees. Trekking through the forest will reveal lots of animals. You may also see red Colobus, L’Hoest, grey-cheeked mangabey, and vervet monkeys.
From 335 woodland bird species, birdwatchers see numerous specialties. The chimpanzees will swing through trees quickly, panting, hooting, slapping tree barks, and yelling to find each other. The atmosphere is thrilling and unforgettable.
Lunch at the lodge follows. Later that day, you’ll go to Queen Elizabeth National Park to relax at the lodge and see animals and stunning scenery.

Day 6: Tree-climbing Lions in Ishasha to Bwindi.
You will cross the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park to gorilla country today. Tree-climbing lions are common here. Lunch is on the way.
We will travel across a huge savannah with topis and southern elephants in Ishasha in hopes of seeing lions on fig tree branches. Nighttime leisure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park awaits.

Day 7: Trekking Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi National Park-Batwa Community Walk.
Start hiking with picnic lunch boxes after breakfast and park ranger briefing. Hiking up and down treacherous slopes with thick mist-covered forest to discover mountain gorillas may take up to four hours. This activity requires a packed lunch. Mountain gorillas, one of the most sought-after animals, will appear in this active hunt.
You’ll spend an hour with them taking images and understanding their behavior. Return to the lodge for a relaxing night.

Day 8: Transfer from Bwindi to Kigali Airport.
After breakfast at your leisure, you will check out and be taken to Kigali city with a lunch stop and various stops for photography and beautiful views at your discretion. You may visit the Genocide Museum in Kigali and relax in the city. You’ll travel to Kigali International Airport in the evening to catch a flight home. This concludes your 8-day African wilderness.
