Directions to the Buhoma Sector
It takes around eight to nine hours to travel from Kampala to the park headquarters via Masaka, Mbarara, Kabale, and Buhoma Sector, which is situated in the northern portion of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Buhoma sector is also accessible from Kigali, Rwanda, where you may fly to Kigali International Airport and then drive for three to four hours to reach Buhoma sector via the Cyanika or Katuna border.
In order to reach the Buhoma sector by air, you may also organize or charter flights with Aero Link Uganda or Bar Aviation from Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airfield to Kihihi Airstrip. From there, you can take a car drive to the park headquarters.
