The rules are quite firm on this matter, so please ensure that all clients and children are 15 or older to prevent any unfortunate situations, such as young guests being unable to participate in the adventure!
Gorilla Trekking Age Limits in Uganda and Rwanda
The Gorilla Trekking Age Limits are different from the requirements for trekking chimpanzees. In Uganda it is set at 12 years, while children aged 10 and above can embark on the adventure of trekking golden monkeys in Rwanda, provided they are with an adult. Kids under 15 can visit Dian Fossey’s tomb, but the hike is quite challenging, so we advise against it for those younger than 12-13 years.
